YNG FLEA: RESPONSIBLY RE-OPENING

You have the right to shop safe as you shop the Flea. Ohio Governor DeWine recently issued guidance that began re-opening some businesses effective as of May 15, 2020. Based upon the projectioned timeline of this guidance, we will be re-opening the Youngstown Flea Saturday, June 13, 2020. Our #1 priority remains the safety of our team members, partners, vendors, guests and the community. We are excited to open and we will ensure the proper following of all recommended safety precautions by team members and vendors. We will continue to exercise enhanced cleaning and sanitation procedures throughout the market and social distancing will be strictly enforced.

 

  • Guest Rules
    • All guest must maintain a social distance requirement of 6 feet at all times.
    • All guest are REQUIRED  to wear masks/face covering while at the market 
    • Please do NOT visit the market if you are sick.
    • Please wash your hands and avoid touching your face.
    • Please use a tissue or the inside of your elbow when you cough and/or sneeze and discard of the tissue properly. Wash your hands.
    • Follow all posted signage around the market.

We are excited to re-open but will need everyone to adhere to signage posted throughout the market so we can remain safe and open. Sellers, in order to operate in a safe manner, all vendors MUST comply with the rules below. Failure to do so will result in a first warning followed by an immediate eviction from the market.

 

  • Vendor Rules
    • All vendors and vendor employees must maintain a social distance requirement of 6 feet at all times.
    • All vendors and vendor employees must wear a face mask at all times.
    • All vendors and vendor employees must stay within the designated selling area at all times.
    • No cutting or sampling of any produce items.
    • Please do not come to the market if you are sick.
    • Please wash your hands and avoid touching your face.
    • We encourage all vendors to arrive at the market with personal hand sanitizer, use it often.

The only way we can successfully re-open and stay open is to follow these directives. We cannot allow a single person to jeopardize our livelihood.   • What is the Youngstown Flea doing to ensure safety?
    • We have enacted a comprehensive plan for the market that includes enhanced cleaning, line distancing, guest capacity review, PPE is required by everyone, disinfecting at point of sale locations, signage encouraging safety practices and a number of other things.
    • 3 Acre lot with plenty of space to “stretch our legs” – tent legs that is. Vendors will be a minimum of 6ft apart.
    • Appointments, quick pick-up, curbside delivery of purchased items, online shopping and other options to avoid the crowd.
  • Can I practice social distancing at The Youngstown Flea?
    • The Youngstown Flea has plenty of parking lot space to spread out while you shop. We have signs around the market reminding people to stay 6’ apart and we will be monitoring social distancing. We ask everyone to remain mindful of our safety rules.
  • Do I have to wear a mask?
    • All team members and sellers are required to wear a mask.  All guests are strongly encouraged to wear a face mask or face covering while at the market.
    • We will have face masks for purchase at the office for anyone in need of one.
  • Are you monitoring capacity?
    • Yes, We will be monitoring the number of people coming in the gate and will adjust accordingly. FYI: There are no current capacity restrictions on our outdoor market but we will still be monitoring.
