About Our Partner
My love of art began when I was a child watching ‘The Joy of Painting’ on my family room floor, following along with Bob Ross and my crayons and paper. Next came ‘The Carol Duvall Show’, which inspired me to explore the world of crafts, making my own dolls, jewelry, etc. for myself, mom, friends and family. I have always had a quirky sense of style and been drawn to eclectic clothing and accessories with a sense of history. So, it was a natural fit for me to attend Kent State University and major in Fine Art with a focus in Jewelry Metals. During winter and summer breaks from school, I had the opportunity to learn how to hand-engrave by hanging out at a local jewelry store, the Village Goldsmith. I instantly fell in love with the process. Though challenging, I was able to combine two of my favorites: drawing and metal-smithing. With hand-engraving I am constantly learning new techniques while creating unique keepsakes that tell a story, whether through pictures, words, old family jokes, etc.
